Blair resists bombings inquiry

So the Prime Minister is reported to have rejected the suggestion of a full inquiry into the London attack. So... Four bombs go off virtually simultaneously on the capital's transport system. 49 people are murdered and hundreds injured in the worst attack on London since the Second World War. The attack represents a new and unknown menace to the British people, one which was invisible to the UK's post-9/11 security arrangements. The attack will be used by the Government as a justification for further restrictions on civil liberties. Why would Blair NOT want an inquiry?
